Macallan Easter Elchies Black 2020 Edition is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is the third and final release in a limited annual series made in a smoky style and bottled at a higher strength.
The whisky was matured in sherry cask wood and bottled in 2020. Its natural colour is described as autumn chestnut, and it comes with its original box. The series takes its inspiration from Easter Elchies House, Macallan's spiritual home.
The nose offers smoked toffee, orange, raisin and oak spice. On the palate are warming ginger and cinnamon, polished oak and smoked orange peel. The finish is sweet and smoky, with lingering spice and oak.
