Macallan – Edition No. 2 (48.2%)

Macallan Edition No. 2 is a single malt bottled at 48.2% ABV, the second release in a special series that explores production, ageing and cask marriage. It was launched in 2016. Master distiller Bob Dalgarno created it with Josep, Joan and Jordi Roca, the three brothers behind the restaurant El Celler de Can Roca. The whisky is a blend drawn from seven different types of cask. The nose offers molasses, ginger, wood, tropical fruit, caramelised apples and vanilla. The palate brings black pepper, clove, chocolate, brown sugar, oak and nuts, and the finish is full, long and warm with an oily aftertaste.
