This is a 30 year old single malt from the Fine & Rare series at Macallan, drawn from single cask 11233. It was distilled in 1990, matured in a first fill Spanish oak sherry cask and bottled in 2021 at a cask strength of 54.9% ABV. It comes in a 70cl bottle with a wooden box.
The nose offers honey, lemon citrus, light peat and wood, with robust floral notes. Dried fruit, especially raisin, leads the palate, with peat smoke still clearly present. The finish brings treacle toffee, cloves and prunes.
