Macallan Genesis is a single malt that marks the opening of The Macallan's new distillery in Speyside. It was devised with the architects Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and bottled in 2018 as an edition of 2,500 bottles at 45.5% ABV. The packaging carries a lithographic print by lead architect Graham Stirk.
On the nose there is ripe apple, sweet plum and dried apricot, with cinnamon, fresh ginger and polished oak. The palate brings dark chocolate, ginger and dried fruits over a silky texture, and the finish is of medium length, with warm spice and toasted wood.
