Macallan Litha is a single malt at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle, released as a China Edition. It was matured in first-fill sherry-seasoned oak casks made in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, then filled with new make spirit at The Macallan Estate in Scotland. The colour is deep gold.
The nose is butterscotch, vanilla and chocolate with citrus and tropical fruit. The palate suggests vanilla ice cream with berry compote, toasted oak and gentle wood spice, ending in salted caramel and pecans. The finish is medium, with fruity echoes, vanilla and oak.
