Macallan M is a Speyside single malt bottled at 44.7% in a hand-crafted Lalique crystal decanter, in a 75cl bottle.
The whisky was vatted from sherry-seasoned oak casks laid down between 1940 and 1991, selected by master whisky maker Bob Dalgarno over two years. The vatting includes whiskies barrelled before the distillery stopped production at the start of the Second World War, as well as 1947 peated malts.
The nose offers leather, polished oak, dried fruit and vanilla, with baking spice and dark chocolate. The palate is velvety, with dried fruit, candied orange zest, toasted oak and warm spice. The finish is very long, with dried fruit, dark chocolate and gentle oak tannins.
