A Macallan single malt bottled in 1996 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Private Eye. It is a limited run of 5000 numbered bottles, with whisky from a 1961 cask and a label designed by Ralph Steadman. Artificial colour was used, and it is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has citrus zest, ripe apple, dried apricot, cinnamon and clove. The palate brings stewed dark fruits, nutmeg, vanilla, toasted almonds and a creamy texture. The finish is medium to long, with spiced fruitcake and a whisper of oak.
