Macallan – Rare Cask Black (70cl, 48%)

Macallan – Rare Cask Black is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Bottled at 48% ABV, 70cl. The Macallan distillery was established at Easter Elchies in Speyside and is one of Scotland's most celebrated single malt producers, long renowned for its commitment to first fill sherry seasoned oak casks and its use of curiously small copper pot stills. Rare Cask Black is a no-age-statement expression crafted from predominantly first fill sherry seasoned oak casks matured at the Macallan Distillery, housing a remarkably rare peated Macallan spirit. Selected by the master whisky maker from fewer than 100 of the casks maturing at the distillery at the time of bottling, it is bottled at 48% ABV. Distilled and bottled by The Macallan Distillers Ltd., Easter Elchies, Craigellachie, Scotland.
