Macallan – Rare Cask is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Bottled at 43% ABV, 70cl. The Macallan distillery, established in 1824, is located at Easter Elchies in Craigellachie, Speyside, Scotland, and is one of the most recognised names in single malt Scotch whisky. The distillery is noted for its use of small copper pot stills and its longstanding association with sherry oak cask maturation. The Macallan Rare Cask is a Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky bottled at 43% ABV and presented in a distinctive faceted bottle with red and gold presentation box. It is crafted using an exceptionally high proportion of first fill sherry oak casks, hand-picked by the Macallan Whisky Maker from less than 1% of the casks maturing at the distillery.
