Macallan – Sir Peter Blake Anecdotes of Ages (70cl, 47.7%)

This Macallan single malt, from the Anecdotes of Ages Collection, is a collaboration with the British artist Sir Peter Blake. It is bottled at 47.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and its label shows a pop art collage celebrating his visit to the estate. The blue and green box echoes the design, and a certificate and a printed scroll of the artwork come with it. The nose offers dried apricot, dark cherry, orange zest, cinnamon, rosemary and toasted oak. Figs, nutmeg, treacle and vanilla lead the palate, with a creamy texture. The finish is long and warming, with spiced cacao and oaky tobacco.
