Macbeth Angus Glen Garioch 31 Year Old (70cl, 54.6%)

Macbeth Angus is a 31 year old Glen Garioch single malt, one of twelve malts in the Thanes series and one of three in the first act of the Macbeth collection, which is inspired by Shakespeare's play. The illustration is by Sir Quentin Blake. It is a vatting of four first-fill bourbon casks and shows the rich, weighty side of Glen Garioch from the 1990s, when production returned to a slower pace. More than three decades in American oak have given a concentrated, full dram, bottled at a cask strength of 54.6% in an edition of 650 bottles. It is described with notes of panettone, candied peel and banana.
