Sandy Macdonald, known as Sandy Mac, is a Special blended Scotch whisky from the 1950s, in a 75cl bottle at 43%. This example has a spring-cap closure and was officially imported into Italy by Paparone of Genoa. The brand was created in 1840 by an Edinburgh firm, Alexander & MacDonald. In 1890 it merged with the Greenlees Brothers, makers of the Grand Old Parr blend, to form Macdonald Greenlees. The company joined DCL in 1925, yet the name continued well into the late 20th century, and Diageo still owns the trademark.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
