A blended Scotch whisky from the 1950s, sold as Sandy Macdonald, or Sandy Mac, by Macdonald Greenlees. It is in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV and has a spring-cap closure. The brand was created in 1840 by the Edinburgh firm Alexander & MacDonald. In 1890 that firm merged with the Greenlees Brothers, makers of the Grand Old Parr blend, to form Macdonald Greenlees. The company became part of DCL in 1925, and the name continued well into the late 20th century. Diageo still owns the trademark.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
