This is a 14-year-old Macduff single malt from the Rebels series, bottled at 51.4% in a 70cl bottle. Named The Guerilla Cask, it was matured in a first-fill Côtes du Roussillon cask.
The nose combines dark fruits with a light creamy note, spring flowers and cherry blossom, then builds in spice with dark chocolate and a touch of char. The palate shows dark fruit cake, toffee apple, dried figs and Seville orange segments, with cinnamon and herbal notes through the middle. The finish is smooth and tangy with fruit, rich and lingering.
