A single malt Scotch from Macduff, distilled in 2011 and bottled by Signatory Vintage at 100 proof (57.1%).
It was matured in oak casks and shows the fruity side of the distillery, with orchard fruit, warming spice and rich malt carried by the firmer structure of the higher bottling strength.
The nose brings green apple, vanilla cream, honey, toasted oak and citrus zest. The palate offers rich malt, caramel, poached pears, baking spices, oak char and a hint of dark chocolate. The finish is long, warm and spicy, with lingering sweetness, oak and gentle pepper.
