This is Macduff 29 Year Old, a single malt bottled in Cadenhead's Authentic Collection. It was distilled in 1989 and bottled in summer 2018 after maturing in a refill sherry butt, with 390 bottles produced. The nose offers almonds, praline, damp earth and hints of whole kiwis. The palate is very herbal, with sage, basil and thyme alongside faint red cherries and a slightly medicinal edge. The finish is lingering and creamy, with traces of spice and liquorice and continued medicinal hints.
