MacNair's 21 Year Old is a blended malt Scotch whisky produced and released by GlenAllachie in Speyside. It is built around peated malts from Islay and Speyside, combined with older GlenAllachie whisky, and it was matured in Oloroso, virgin oak and red wine casks.
Billy Walker set out to recreate the peated whiskies of a century ago for modern drinkers. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose brings peat smoke with dark chocolate and fudge. On the palate come tobacco, leather and cedar wood alongside strong peat, with cocoa, vanilla, honey and a little spice.
