MacNair's Lum Reek 10 Year Old is a blended malt that combines Speyside and Islay single malts, including aged GlenAllachie. Batch 1 was matured in Spanish sherry casks, wine barriques and virgin oak casks at the GlenAllachie distillery. It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.4%, without added colour and non-chill-filtered. Billy Walker, with fifty years of blending behind him, developed the recipe.
The nose combines smoke and heather honey with ginger, cinnamon, syrup and vanilla. On the palate there is dark chocolate, ginger and citrus, with smoky spices, banana and tannins.
