MacNair's Lum Reek 12 Year Old is a peated blended malt from Master Distiller Billy Walker, bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle. It combines peated and unpeated Islay and Speyside single malts with aged GlenAllachie, married at GlenAllachie Distillery in Aberlour, Scotland.
The whisky was matured for 12 years in first-fill bourbon, Pedro Ximénez sherry and red wine casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The name comes from the Scots toast "lang may yer lum reek".
The nose has sweet peat reek, butterscotch, mocha and nutmeg. On the palate come heather honey, rich toffee and sweet spices, with soft peat smoke underneath.
