MacNair's Lum Reek 12 Year Old is a small batch blended malt bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It combines single malts from Islay and Speyside, peated and unpeated, including GlenAllachie single malt, in a recipe by Billy Walker.
The whisky was matured at The GlenAllachie Distillery in first-fill ex-bourbon, Pedro Ximénez and red wine casks. It has no added colouring and is not chill-filtered.
The nose offers sweet peat, caramel, dark chocolate and soft nutmeg. The palate brings heather honey, rich caramel and sweet spices, all with a thread of peat.
