Maison Pierrond 2021 Côtes-du-Rhône (1.5L)

A red wine from the southern Rhône, made from 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah grown in stony alluvial soils. The grapes are destemmed and gently crushed, then cold-fermented in stainless steel tanks with regular pumping over. After pressing, malolactic fermentation and ageing take place in stainless steel for around six months. The wine is bright ruby red. Grenache brings fruit and charm, with crisp, juicy red fruit and mild spice, while Syrah adds structure, dryness and tannin. The finish carries spicy notes of dark chocolate and liquorice. It is suggested with vegetable dishes, veal, pork or poultry.
