Maker's 46 is a Kentucky bourbon from the Maker's Mark distillery, bottled at 47% (94 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It was the distillery's first innovation since the fifties.
Forty-five different wood recipes were rejected before the 46th was approved. Maturation is finished with charred staves of French Limousin oak, which gives a more complex and more elegant bourbon than the familiar Maker's Mark.
