Maker's Mark Cask Strength is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from the Maker's Mark Distillery at Star Hill Farm in Loretto, bottled at 113.2 proof (56.6% ABV) in a 750ml bottle. The mash bill is 70% corn, 16% soft red winter wheat and 14% malted barley, with no rye. It is aged to taste in hand-rotated, charred American oak barrels and bottled without chill filtration. Each bottle is dipped by hand in red wax.
The nose is caramel and vanilla with toasted oak, cinnamon and dark fruit. The palate is full and bold, with caramelised sugar, vanilla cream, dark chocolate, salted caramel and a little dried fruit.
