Maker's Mark 46 Cask Strength Bill's Recipe Frenched Oak is a limited release bourbon. It starts with fully matured Maker's Mark, which goes back into the barrel for a little longer with specially chosen French oak staves.
The idea came from Bill Samuels Jr., son of the brand's founders, Bill and Margie. He wanted amplified notes of vanilla, caramel and spice and a longer finish, without the bitterness his father disliked.
