Maker's Mark – 46 Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon (75cl, 56.3%)

Maker's Mark 46 Cask Strength is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 750ml bottle, bottled without dilution at 56.25% ABV (112.5 proof). It begins with fully matured, cask strength Maker's Mark. Ten seared French oak staves are placed in the barrel, which rests for nine weeks in the distillery's limestone cellar. The staves are then removed and the bourbon is bottled uncut. The French oak adds dried fruit, vanilla and spice. It is typically described as showing dark cherry, caramel, vanilla, a peanut waxiness and sawdusty oak, with a chocolate malt milk ball note from the staves.
