Maker's Mark – 46 Kentucky Straight Bourbon (70cl, 46%)

Maker's Mark 46 is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 46% abv in a 70cl bottle. It was launched in 2010. It starts as fully matured Maker's Mark bourbon at cask strength. Specially seared French oak staves, from the distillery's long-time cooperage, the Independent Stave Company, are then inserted into the barrels, and the bourbon finishes ageing for a few months before bottling. The staves were named Stave Profile No. 46. It was the first brand extension since the distillery began production in 1953, and the first in the Wood Finishing Series.
