Maker's Mark Cask Strength is a Kentucky straight bourbon made in Loretto, bottled at barrel proof, 54.8% ABV, without chill filtration, in a 75cl bottle.
The mash bill is wheated: 70% corn, 16% red winter wheat and 14% malted barley.
The nose combines toasted oak, salted caramel, dark chocolate and baking spice over vanilla and ripe apricot. The palate is rich and creamy, with caramel fudge, butterscotch, red fruit and charred oak. The finish is long, with vanilla cream, dark caramel and nutmeg.
