Maker's Mark Cask Strength is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Batch 23-06, bottled at 57.75% in a 70cl bottle. Maker's Mark was founded by the Samuels family in 1953. The mash uses red winter wheat alongside corn. The casks are turned by hand, the bottles are dipped in wax by hand, and the whisky is drawn off when the casks are ready rather than at a set age, typically after six to seven years. The strength brings out the vanilla notes of the house style, and the finish is soft and round.
