Maker's Mark Cask Strength is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Loretto, bottled at 55.1% in a 70cl bottle, undiluted and unfiltered. Its mash bill uses red winter wheat instead of rye. It won Double Platinum at the 2026 ASCOT Awards.
The nose is vanilla, toasted sugar and cask char, with a touch of cherry. The palate brings brown sugar, rum-soaked raisin, caramelised walnuts and Christmas spices, with gentle whiffs of smoke. The finish is winter spices softened by warm vanilla.
