Maker's Mark Cask Strength Made For The Brave is a Kentucky straight bourbon released in honour of Memorial Day and military veterans. It is a limited edition, bottled uncut at 110.5 proof (55.25%) in a 750ml bottle.
It is made from the distillery's wheated mash bill, using red winter wheat, and matured in new charred American oak.
The nose brings vanilla extract, brown butter, toasted oak, cinnamon and honey. The palate is full-bodied, with caramel, wheat bread, dark chocolate, baking spices and charred oak. The finish is long and warming, with vanilla, black pepper, dried fruit and smoky oak char.
