This is the 2026 edition of the annual Star Hill Farm release from Maker's Mark, an American whiskey bottled at a cask strength of 58.2% in a 70cl bottle. The series looks at how farming choices shape the whiskey, and this year the focus is wheat. The grain bill combines soft red winter, hard white and heirloom hard red wheat with 62% malted wheat and a little malted barley. It is estate-grown, from Star Hill Farm in Loretto, Kentucky. The nose is dark and dense, with molasses, fig and delicate spice. The palate brings zesty citrus, ripe pear and shortbread. The finish is lingering, with rich sweetness and gentle cinnamon warmth.
