Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series 2023 BEP

This is the 2023 limited release of Maker's Mark BEP, a bourbon built around the distillery's 110 barrel entry proof. It is the fifth and final bourbon in that chapter of the Wood Finishing Series. Special finishing staves were used to bring out vanilla and sweet spice, alongside the wood sugars, softer tannins and lasting finish that come from the lower entry proof. It is bottled at cask strength, between 109.6 and 110.7 proof. The nose is toasty vanilla, subtle spice and caramel. The palate is bright, with vanilla and brown sugar. The finish is balanced and medium bodied, with rich caramel and dry baking spices.
