Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series The Keepers Release 2025 is a wheated Kentucky bourbon from Loretto, made from 70% corn, 16% red winter wheat and 14% malted barley. The whisky is fully matured, aged six to seven years, and bottled at a cask strength of 54.6% in a 75cl bottle.
It is the 2025 release in the distillery's annual Wood Finishing Series. The bourbon is finished with two toasted American oak stave profiles, Profile 1 for five weeks and Profile 2 for nine, then blended in equal proportions.
Tasting notes describe oak-forward aromas of seasoned wood, brûléed sugar and tobacco, and a long finish of dried dark fruit and lingering roasted sweetness.
