Marc Brédif Héritage Brut Tradition Crémant de Loire

This is a Brut Crémant de Loire from Marc Brédif, made by the traditional method, as used in Champagne. It is a blend of local Loire grapes and spends time ageing on its lees. It is a bright pale straw colour with a fine, persistent mousse. The nose combines white-fleshed fruit, wild flowers, honey and a little citrus, with toasted bread and hazelnut from the lees ageing. The palate is fresh and lively, with a balanced structure and a soft creaminess. Acidity is well judged, leading to a long, clean finish where fruit and lightly toasted notes come together.
