Marchesi Antinori Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino (75cl)

Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino is a DOCG red from Marchesi Antinori, made entirely from Sangiovese. The grapes are carefully selected in the vineyard and the cellar, destemmed and gently crushed, then fermented in steel tanks. The wine stays on its skins for about three weeks at around 28°C, then matures for about 24 months in large wooden casks. The nose is delicate and complex, with ripe cherry and plum alongside dried and candied fruit and spice. The palate is enveloping, with soft tannins and a lively acidity that carries the aromas. The finish brings tobacco, bitter chocolate and red berries.
