L'Altro is a sweet passito wine from Marchesi di Gresy in Piedmont, made from Moscato grapes in a 50cl bottle. The grapes are left to dry naturally to concentrate sugars and aromas, then fermented slowly and matured with care.
It is deep gold in the glass. The nose offers ripe peach and apricot with honey, orange blossom and a hint of sweet spice.
The palate is sweet but balanced, with candied fruit, honey, dried fruit and spice held up by lively acidity. The finish is very long and pleasantly aromatic.
