Marco Mosconi Recioto di Soave DOCG 2017 (37.5cl)

This is a sweet Recioto di Soave from Marco Mosconi, made in the 2017 vintage and sold in a 37.5cl bottle. It is made entirely from Garganega, with the grapes left to dry for five months before they are vinified. The wine then spends 18 months in steel and a further six months in glass. It suits baked desserts and dry pastries, and can also be sipped alone after a meal. The colour is deep golden. The nose brings broom, withered mimosa, candied citrus, honey, dried apricot, caramelised hazelnut and ginger. The palate is sweet but never cloying, with a fresh thread running through it and a very long finish that ends on almonds.
