Marie Brizard Anisette is a clear French aniseed liqueur of 25% strength, in a 70cl bottle. The recipe goes back to 1755, when Marie Brizard first made it in Bordeaux. Aniseed is macerated and distilled to give a full, rounded flavour.
Aniseed and mint lead on the palate, giving a softly fresh, lightly spiced impression with a smooth texture. It can be served neat, over ice or in cocktails, and also suits the traditional role of a digestif after a meal.
