Marolo Grappa di Brunello (75cl, 42%)

Marolo Grappa di Brunello is an unoaked grappa distilled in Alba by Distilleria Santa Teresa, the Marolo distillery, from fresh Sangiovese pomace supplied by Brunello di Montalcino estates in Tuscany. It is distilled in discontinuous bain-marie copper stills and rested in stainless steel rather than wood, so it stays clear and close to the grape. It is bottled at 42% vol in a 75cl bottle, and is best served neat or lightly chilled as a digestif. The aroma is delicate, fresh and floral, with peach, apple and a touch of minerality. The palate is soft and elegant, echoing the nose.
