A Japanese blended malt from Mars, released in 2018 as one of 1022 bottles for the Aoyama King Festival. It was authorised by the Mengjia Qingshan Temple and is bottled at 40% ABV in a 72cl bottle.
The whisky is a vatting of spirit aged in ex-bourbon casks. It matured in the stone warehouse at the Mars Tsunuki distillery in Kagoshima.
Mengjia Qingshan Palace is a national third-level historical site and a national intangible cultural heritage. Its history goes back to 1854, when fishermen brought a branch of the guardian deity Qingshan Ling'an Zunwang from Huian to Mengjia during a plague.
