Mars Shinshu The Y.A. #04 Japanese Whisky (70cl)

Mars Shinshu The Y.A. #04 is a Japanese whisky in a 70cl bottle, blended from whiskies made at Tsunuki in Kagoshima and Komagatake in Nagano. They are aged on the island of Yakushima before blending, where constant rain, humidity and salty sea air shape maturation. For this edition the blenders chose a decently peated style, aiming to pair smoke with the tropical, fruit-led side of the whiskies. The nose combines gentle white smoke with ripe banana, citrus peel and milk chocolate. The palate balances fruit, chocolate and spice, ending in an intensely smoky finish.
