Marsala DOC Superiore Secco 2016 Florio (75cl)

Marsala Florio Secco Superiore 2016 is a Sicilian Marsala matured for five years. It is presented in a 75cl bottle and is known for its intense golden colour with amber reflections. On the nose there are aromas of dried fruit, almond, honey and light vanilla nuances from long ageing in cask. On the palate the structure is robust but balanced by fresh acidity, making it surprisingly dry despite its rich, enveloping nature. The finish is persistent, with an elegant aftertaste recalling sweet spices and bitter chocolate. It accompanies aged cheeses, elaborate meat dishes, or can be enjoyed as a meditation wine at the end of a meal.
