Martell Cordon Bleu is a Cognac from the historic Martell range, founded in 1715. It is an assemblage of eaux-de-vie drawn mainly from the Borderies region, giving a rich and rounded aromatic profile.
The Cognac is aged in oak barrels, which contribute an intense amber colour and help harmonise the aromas. On the nose it opens with cooked apple, dried fruit, honey and sweet spices such as cinnamon and vanilla.
On the palate it is silky and well balanced, with plum and apricot alongside nutmeg and cedar wood. The finish is long and persistently aromatic, leaving exotic spices and a hint of bitter chocolate.
