Martini Riserva Speciale Rubino is a red vermouth from Piedmont, built on Nebbiolo from the Langhe DOC. It is blended with aromatic extracts of herbs, including Italian holy thistle, together with spices and woods such as red sandalwood from Central Africa, then aged in traditional oak vats.
The result is a vermouth of notable structure, marked by cloves, cinnamon and incense, with lightly bitter hints of rhubarb. It is best served cold over plenty of ice, with tonic water, or mixed into a classic Italian aperitivo.
