Mascota Military Bulldog is a Kentucky straight bourbon aged for five years and bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 750ml decanter. The decanter is a handcrafted porcelain bulldog called Rocky, dressed in a military jacket and hat with a gold paw emblem, and it comes in a military-themed doghouse box.
This is the 250th Anniversary Special Edition. Mascota Spirits donates a portion of its profits to animal shelters and rescue centres.
The nose is sweet vanilla and charred oak. The palate has caramel and vanilla leading to oak, cinnamon and blood orange, with a coating mouthfeel. The finish is long and sweet, with oak spices, toffee and dark fruits.
