Masterson's 10 Years Old is a Canadian straight rye whisky made from 100% rye, distilled in a pot still and aged for ten years in American white oak casks.
It was created by 35 Maple Street Spirits, who took their inspiration from William 'Bat' Masterson, the frontiersman born in 1853 who became sheriff of Ford County, Kansas.
The nose brings cereal, citrus, honey, banana, vanilla and floral notes. On the palate vanilla comes first, then peppery rye, cloves and a little oak. The finish is long, with cereal, liquorice, honey, earthy notes and spice.
