The Tottori is a blended Japanese whisky from Matsui Whisky, a company that has been distilling since 1910, in a 70cl bottle. The name honours the prefecture capital where the company and its Kurayoshi distillery are based.
It was aged for three years in toasted oak casks and is non-chill-filtered.
The nose offers ripe fruit, spice and wood with a hint of citrus. The palate is soft, with floral and spicy notes of black pepper, vanilla and chocolate, and the light finish recalls oak.
