Matt D'Arcy 10 Year Old Newry Special is a blended Irish whiskey, and the first to be released by the revived Matt D'Arcy & Co., a company first founded in 1817. It combines 10-year-old grain whiskey with 17-year-old single malt and has a port finish. It was bottled in 2020 at 46% ABV.
The nose offers citrus and layers of fruit, with preserved sweetness and spice. The palate is rich, with sweet dried-fruit spice, barley sugar, malt and a little oak. The finish is sweet, with lingering spice.
