This Famous Grouse is a blended Scotch whisky from Matthew Gloag, dating from the 1980s and bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle.
First launched in 1896 next to The Grouse Brand, it was the third blend registered by Matthew Gloag & Sons, following Brig o' Perth a year earlier. The company trademarked the name in 1905.
Highland Distillers took over the brand from the Gloag family in 1970, and Edrington owns it today.
