The Famous Grouse is a blended Scotch whisky from Matthew Gloag, in a 1980s bottling at 43% in a 100cl bottle. The blend was launched in 1896 alongside The Grouse Brand and was the third to be registered by Matthew Gloag & Sons, after Brig o' Perth the year before. The company trademarked the name in 1905. The brand passed from the Gloag family to Highland Distillers in 1970 and is now owned by Edrington.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
